Applicants with collection slips bearing “Pending 71”. Collection Date 21st October 2022.

Hi Admin, My name is Emmanuel Ekene Okere, I am a Nigerian, studying for a PhD in Electronic Engineering here at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
I really need your help here, because I am in a very delicate passport predicament. My passport is expiring on 5th December 2022, that’s roughly 3 weeks from now. I already applied for a renewal, actually I applied since June 17, 2022. but I Cape town where I am resident, the data capturing had some issues I was told, so I had to come down to Johannesburg for another capturing.
My challenge now is that, I am not sure when the next badge of passport would be available. I also not sure, if I should leave the country, before my visa and passport expires (5th Dec. 2022) and then reapply for a renewal in Nigeria, how I am going to access the one I already applied for here by the Consulate office.
Please sir/ma, what can you advice that I do in this situation. Do I wait and hope for it to come out or I should begin making exit plans before my visa expires with the current passport? Is there a possibility for an emergency renewal avenue, where I can pay and get it done same day, so I can get the passport and apply for a visa renewal, my study, and even part-time job I do here at the University is on the line because of this passport situation. Help me please, I beg of you.
